Crowns

When a tooth is beyond repair, the recommended option is to replace it with a crown. In addition, crowns serve to protect teeth that are subject to fractures. Crowns are prepared in a laboratory, using various combinations of materials (porcelain, metal and ceramic).

Under ideal conditions, crowns can last for more than 20 years. The procedure requires two visits to the dentist's office.

In some instances, shade may be difficult to match with the adjacent teeth, so we like to use the Vita Easyshade spectrophotometer to better assess this.
